How do I create a class group in My Learning?

** Please note – if your school has a link between My Learning and your MIS system your classes will automatically be created. You should not attempt to add a class manually**

  1. Click on ‘Classes’
  2. Click on ‘Advanced options’
  3. Click on ‘New class’
  4. Give the class a name
  5. Give an optional description
  6. If required you can auto enrol a user type
  7. Select a grading template for any assignments applied to this group
  8. Tag with relevant subject/s

Your class now exists. Now you need to add members to the group:

  1. Pull down the group menu
  2. Click ‘Edit, Members’
  3. Select users from the left, ticking them
  4. Click the permissions button for the people you have chosen. They will be added to the list of group members on the right with the relevant permissions.
